Why Small Conversations Matter

Source TalkTag OriginalUse Conversation practiceLevel B1–B2

A short conversation does not need to change our lives to be meaningful. A few words with a neighbor, a coworker, or a stranger can make an ordinary day feel less distant. These small exchanges also give language learners a safe place to notice tone, timing, and the way people respond. Fluency often grows through moments that seem too small to count.
